Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations

The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) is the representative organization for 74 First Nations across Saskatchewan, based in Saskatoon, SK. Since 1946, FSIN has served as the primary advocacy and governance body dedicated to protecting Treaty rights and advancing the interests of First Nations communities throughout the province. The organization works to honor the spirit and intent of historic Treaties, ensuring that the promises made over a century ago continue to guide contemporary relationships between First Nations and the Crown.

FSIN's core mandate encompasses several key areas of focus: the protection and implementation of Treaties and Treaty Rights, the advancement of economic development initiatives, educational programs, and social services for First Nations people. The organization also facilitates cooperation with civil and religious authorities while maintaining adherence to democratic procedures and promoting respect and tolerance across all communities.
